Come On, We All Know It Was Seth Rich

It’s stupid we’re still talking about Russian hackers vs. anonymous insiders when we all know who the source of the DNC leaks was.

Do you guys want to hear something hilarious? When I first started this gig I used to wonder if I’d run out of things worth saying after the election on November 8th. Fast forward a few months and McCarthy’s America has crawled groaning out of the grave, a large portion of the country is hoping for an electoral coup on the 19th, the powers that be are trying to figure out how to censor the internet without looking even more like the oppressive dictators they are, and everyone’s being told to form their worldview based on the propaganda from anonymous sources inside the CIA. Relax, Caitlin Johnstone from August 2016; your biggest challenge will be choosing which insane political meltdown to write about next.

Let’s talk about Seth Rich. I’m just going to say out loud what everyone who’s been paying attention is already thinking: it’s unclear who leaked the Podesta files, but the DNC leaks almost certainly came from him. Could we prove this in a court of law? No. But we’ve surely been given a lot more reason to believe that it was Rich than that it was Russia. I see no reason not to assume that Seth Rich was one of the greatest heroes and patriots in American history until proven otherwise.

I’m done pretending that this is some sort of fringe conspiracy theory when all the known facts make it by far the most plausible explanation for the DNC leaks and all the sources have proven themselves vastly more trustworthy than U.S. intelligence agencies, the U.S. government, and the legacy media combined. Seth Rich was involved with the DNC leaks. You know it, I know it, and Bob Dole knows it. We’ve got every reason to believe this and no reason not to.

Most of my readers are probably familiar with Rich’s case, but let me catch you all up just in case.

Seth Rich’s name has been back in the spotlight ever since WikiLeaks operative and former UK ambassador Craig Murray told Dailymail.com a few days ago that U.S. intelligence is once again lying to the American people about the Russian origins of the leaks, stating that both the DNC leaks and the Podesta files instead came from Americans working inside the DNC who did not obtain them by hacking since they had legal access to them. He stated that the leakers were  motivated by “disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders.” Murray (who has actually been saying this since his meeting with Julian Assange in October) has not named the leakers, but Rich was a Data Director at the DNC, and died under highly suspicious circumstances the same month the DNC leaks were released.

Democratic party loyalists have predictably attempted to slander Murray's name since his comments began gaining traction, pointing out that he was fired from his job as ambassador in 2004 for alleged "misconduct", but a little research into his past reveals that he was actually fired for speaking out against torture, decrying the cruel and oppressive government in a nation the UK was courting as an ally, and of course, criticizing the U.S. government. All other manufactured charges against him were dropped, but his dismissal remained, because he had too much integrity for the British government. So he's a truth teller. He's our people.

In the wee hours of July 10th, 2016, Seth Rich was shot twice in the back when walking from the bar to his home in Washington, D.C. Police ended up calling it it a likely botched robbery, despite the fact that none of Rich’s money or possessions were taken, and the fact that it’s hard to imagine a “botched robbery” ending up with the victim getting shot in the back. Robberies get botched when the victim does something that scares the robber; if they were going to attack him from behind they’d at least take the possessions they were planning on stealing. I could see a robber panicking enough to run away without taking anything if Rich had gotten stupid and tried to bull rush an armed mugger, but if that had happened he’d have been facing the gunman. If he was shot in the back without anything being taken it was because his killer wanted his life, not his wallet.

Seth Rich gave the DNC documents to someone, and then he was assassinated for crossing powerful people. Twelve days later, the documents he’d leaked were published by WikiLeaks, sparking outrage among Sanders supporters and surely costing Clinton the election.

Since that time, Julian Assange (who's said on more than one occasion that the Russians are not the source of the leaks) has mentioned Seth Rich's murder when speaking of the risks that leakers and whistleblowers take and said "no" when told it was a robbery, and WikiLeaks is offering a twenty thousand dollar reward to anyone who can provide evidence leading to conviction of Rich’s killer. Neither Murray nor Assange has directly confirmed or denied that Rich was the source of the DNC leaks, but they certainly haven’t gone out of their way to avoid that impression.

So that’s the narrative I’m going with, and the hell with anyone who says I should give anonymous sources from the lying den of vipers at the CIA more credibility than the aforementioned mountain of evidence. Not that that will stop Democratic party loyalists from trying to convince me that up is down and day is night.

Obama said, well after the DNC leaks and the Podesta emails had been released, that no American election could ever be "hacked." Hillary Clinton even said that questioning the results of the election was "horrifying."

"Let's be clear about what he is saying and what that means: He is denigrating, he is talking down our democracy and I for one am appalled that someone who is the nominee for one of our two major parties would take that position," she said, in the full knowledge that her party's emails had been leaked, but obviously it hadn't yet occurred to her and others that if they applied the mix-master and really put some shoulder into it, she could beat that up into a full-blown "election hacking" event that could get her the war with Russia she was already salivating for.

Obama has now gone back in time and decided that the thing he already knew about when he declared that the American elections were perfectly above board was not only hacking, but hacking he is willing to put the life of every person on planet earth at risk for.

Keep watching, guys. They're doing desperate things now. This is on-the-fly improvisation, the dangerous type where they have to change tack within weeks, not years. This is not how they like to play; they usually like to 'pace' us over years and years when they are going to do something as obviously hypocritical as that. Something went awry and now they are scrambling. More of this kind of thing is happening all the time now. Keep your eyes peeled and your narrative straight and let’s spot all their mistakes and broadcast them loudly.
